New Baguio UPF Center launch

Baguio- The Ambassadors for Peace (AFP) in Baguio City, La Union and other parts of Northwest Luzon cluster-region are challenged to have their own office and education center. No other than USec. Josefina Dominguez talked to UPF- Baguio Executive Director Alfon and Dulce Buyayo to have their office in downtown Baguio for better access with the VIP's and peace ambassadors.

Last Saturday, March 1, 2008 the Buyayo's together with USec Dominguez visited a building at #7 Labsan St. , Kayang Extension, Baguio City, beside the immigration and at the back of Baguio City hall building. They finalized their decision to lease the space at the 3rd floor for the UPF and Peace ambassadors and other guests to have a place where they can have educational lectures, discussions and project-plannings and the like.

As of this time, the place needs interior designs and some amenities that will fit the level of the guests. Any kind-hearted donor who wish to help provide the necessary materials and amenities for the UPF center is very much welcome. Just contact Mrs. Dulce Buyayo at bouganne@yahoo.com. Among those who pledge to do inviting VIP's for their lectures and educational program is no other than USec Dominguez herself. It will be operational very soon this March.

Some coordinators who volunteered to serve as staff in there are Mr. Leo Lagpao, Ms. Spring Valdez, Prof. Carmela Penchon , and Mr. Ariel Gascon.

Meanwhile Peace Ambassador Felix Sanchez of Fil Vision Trading in Bauang, La Union is also converting part of his office into UPF office to provide a conference room for AFP of peace ambassadors in La Union.

The UPF Centers will be under the Executive Director Mr. and Mrs. Alfon and Dulce Buyayo.
