Kapihan: Saving-life Ambulance

Nagano- As I was walking on my daily routine this morning, I heard a loud siren of an ambulance. I was about to cross the street. I noticed the due respect of the many drivers from the four sides of the intersection slowing down and stopping to give a way for the ambulance. As the ambulance got a clear way to pass-by although it was still a red light at its corner, the ambulance cross the intersection and the driver with his loud speaker, thanked everyone as he increased his speed to reach a possible hospital to save a life or lives by beating the time in that emergency.
As I continued walking, I noticed my emotion getting up and was just simply saying some words of prayers for the patient in that ambulance to fight and survive for life thanking for the instinctive cooperation fo the many drivers too.
I was contemplating too if there is a spiritual ambulance in man. The siren is so loud and all drivers slow down to stop to give a way for the ambulance in its goal to save life in times of emergency. Where can be the loud spiritual siren be announced or heard? Where can one call and contact a spiritual ambulance if there is any in times of emergency? Spiritual life is more important than the temporary physical life though physical life of course has great value too.
Guidance and counselling, family court, churches, and other social and family counselling can serve as spiritual ambulance with the vision and mission of their institutional services. But most common to the public is the church for spiritual life. The questions now are: does our church have a spiritual ambulance for emergency life-saving incidents? Is the church aware on this spiritual health needs of the church-goers and tithe-giving-members? Will spiritual car-drivers slow down to stop and cooperate when there is an emergency to save a life as a spiritual ambulance will pass-by? In what way can spiritual car-drivers cooperate?
Or is it the church as a spiritual ambulance who does the call for one to help?
As there are many things we see in this physical world, there seem to be many things that we should consider for our spiritual development too. Spiritual health services, spiritual education, spiritual food and the like are few to mention that need our attention, kind heart and cooperation for a total development.
