UM Sports Festival held in Tanay ICEF Traning Center

Tanay- A Whole day UM Sports (with Cultural and Academics contest) Festival was held last December 31, 2007 as part of the pre-God's Day celebration in Tanay at the ICEF Traning Center.


In the morning as the festival opened up with the parade of competing teams lead by the organizing committee, Dr. Primitivo Chua gave an inspirational message to all the clusters/regions organized as competing teams. The events were categorized into three: the Sports Tournament, the Cultural and Academics Competition and the Special Yute Moo Game.

These are the following competing teams for Cultural & Academics and Yute Moo games: NCR under the color of apple green Northwest Luzon under color maroon Northeast Luzon under the color Pink Soutern Luzon under the color blue Visayas under the color white Mindanao under the color red UTS under the color white/maroon HQ, Bataan Center and Natl MFT under the color yellow.

In the Cultural and Academics Competition where the several events were competed and the results are:

In vocal solo 1st - NCR
2nd- UTS
3rd- HQ

Group Dance 1st - NCR Team
2nd- UTS Team
3rd- Mindanao Team

Cheering competition 1st- NCR Team 2nd- UTS Team 3rd- Mindanao Team Quiz bee 1st- HQ Team 2nd- Mindanao Team 3rd- NCR Team Lecture contest- junior category 1st- NCR Team 2nd- Antipolo Team 3rd- HQ Team Lecture contest- senior categories 1st- NCR Team 2nd - HQ Team 3rd- Southern Luzon In a special competion, in the Yute Moo Game the emerging winners are: 1st - UTS-Asia Team 2nd- Northwestern Luzon Team 3rd - NCR Team 4th- Mindanao Team The general results of the Cultural and Academics Competitions are the following: Champion - NCR Team First Runner-up - UTS Asia Team Second Runner-up - HQ/Natl MFT Team




In the Sports Tournament some teams were merged to make four competing teams and these were the following competing teams and new Team Names: Yellow and Red teams were merged as Team Ownership Pink and White teams as Team Living for the Greater Good Purple and Maroon as Team Dream Big Apple Green and Blue teams as Team Vertical Tradition.

Among the events played were the following: basketball, volleyball, badminton and tug-o-war. General results in the Sports tournament are: Over-all Champion - Team Ownership First runner-up - Team Living for the Greater Good Second runner-up - Team Vertical Tradition
