Hapyukai in Japan's Kindergarten school

It was so cold morning in December when the hoykuen where my 2 girls are schooling conducted their hapyukai. This is an annual activity not only in kindergarten but also in all levels up to high schools here in Japan. It is a festival on stage presentations mostly songs, musical play, dances, and 1 to 3-act play.

I am so surprised and amazed that the 4 to 6 year old children can really do a great program to entertain not only their parents and grandparents but also the entire school community as well. The teachers and staff are all in one in making the hapyukai a real success from beginning to end.

I was quite previledged when my seat location was near the stage and I can peep-in at the back-stage and see the well-planned sequences and scenario of the whole play. The props arrangement and display, the pull and push, the curtain close-open, the sounds in-charge, the teacher-coach and even the stage assistance to kids who forgot their role are so quick to save the play.
Hapyukai illustrates Japan's basic culture, children's stories, songs and dances. But the skills and stage development of the children at their young age is so advance in this educational program.
The production number where the 3-act play is so nice that 2 months may not be enough to train and teach the children to make the entire script. Teachers to prepare the props are so professional for that level. The teamwork of the teachers, staff and administrators are so transparent that makes the program, smooth and applaudable.
That I saw was what Philippines has none. Maybe tomorrow when heaven comes.
