"Sai-bai" with Japan's nature

Japan is known with their ikebana, bonzai, but a little is heard about sai-bai.
Last week, in our family day and visit at Zenkoji Temple in Nagano City, we were so surprised on how the monks manage in caring a potted flower plant and have its many flowers shaped to their desired design.
At left, the pciture is only one plant called ki-ku with so many flowers but the flowers were kept to be directed to a design bythe plant-caregiver doing the "saibai". He used some tiny wires to assist the trunk and small branches of the ki-ku plant to grow and develop to the planned design by the caregiver. This was so nice as man dominated properly the plant and its flowers to a certainty.
Japanese people call it saibai. They display the ki-ku no saibai this during winter time, s the flower is seasoned to it. There are other ki-ku flowers with other or mutli-colors.
Great work! Arts and nature combined and a heart of man dominating the pure nature.
Congratulations to the maker/plant caregiver!
